2 Polizei Q66 brothers

Got these 2 Polizei's way back in 2006-2008. Both are from same district in Norway, M35 Q66 both with same lott number 2922. One found in the small city of Horten and the other one from Tønsberg, some few km from eachother.

One got the dark blue repaint (typical for many finds in Norway) and a pair of new decals. The swas on the party shield has been "repaired" (probably period time). This one has naming "Eickenberg" and the single banded aluminum band has been broken due to heavy wear, I guess. Has also ink stamp on the strap, cant read it properly and a typical Polizei stamp found in many Polizei helmets in Norway, P.P. Bln 1936 which means Polizei Präsidium Berlin 1936 (Police HQ of Berlin).

The second one is a M35 Q66 # 2922, no repaint here, but has the typical early thin Quist factory paint. Here's another interesting ink stamp on the inside of the liner, "Polizei 1937". The strap is a R. Larsen, Berlin  from 1938, typical for early Polizei helmets and other leather equipment for Polizei.

Tak a look.

Nice one. Love the markings!

These are awesome Jan; Could the overpainted one be a Heer originally , I think there's a chance for that.

2 great helmets Jan. The reissued overpainted is absolutely one i would love to have

I guess its a Polizei too, due to the same lott number # 2922

Agree the repaint is stunning !!  Has a somewhat "dark aura" about it. Reminds me of a concentration camp guards helmet.

Thanks, D
