Q68 M35 Factory SD LW

Just picked this one up because it was too long ago I bought a helmet , I may move it again depending on what's coming next year as I have a similar one.

Lot nr is 21661.

One of the previous owners stuck a sticker on it in 2002 to remember what value the helmet would be if he sold it again. It mentions that it was found in Hollanbd , city of Middelburg 1944.

I removed the sticker.

Nothing wrong with a classic Luft helmet! Glad to see the sticker wasn't too much of a detriment when removed.

Looks great 😀

by the way i really enjoy reading your blog, its very interesting  for a fairly new collector.

Thanks Lars , glad you like the blog.

Thanks guys , I remember when I bought my first of these SD Luft M35 many years ago, was quite special as they don't pop up often.

Very nice M35 Frank. I love it’s patina and the way the decal has toned.
very nice pick up indeed!

kyle. 👌🏼

A nice Q Frank !

typical "bent" look of the aluminium band (the one where the leather is riveted) you see on some 35's

That's an attractive helmet. Agree...this type M35 are not easy to find. A good solid, well balanced example

Thanks, D

I really like this one Frank . . . lovely example and nice large size.

Obviously the previous owner worked for Philips in Eindhoven or Amsterdam?

Michael

Nice local pickup Frank! Really nice and "well balanced" as D says.  Nice to find something in your backyard
