Hi Ive finally got my hands on one and now Im thinking is it right. I was fairly happy until I found the list of batch numbers in the vault and ...snap I seem to have a helmet that is already on the list and is not the same colour or branch as mine. I know mjne has been messed with paint wise and decals are wrong. Any one help?

Hi Friend. See if you can familiarize yourself with adding pictures. We rely on these to authenticate the items since we don’t have in hand. There should be a “upload files” section and then a “choose file” button for you to add pictures :). Do you see it ? You should see these choices when hitting “reply“ or “new post”

Also. Don’t worry about the Lot number for now. Many different helms can be associated with the same lot number

Its Q64 but the paint looks like its been overpainted and then stripped back again hence white streaks that show up in some light.

Yes. Try better straight forward pictures. Also straight on closeups of the decals friend. And familiarize yourself with the posting tips in the information section. We will all be happy to help.

Also put lot number

I will say from afar. Decal looks bad but that’s why nice straight on photos are important. Can’t make a good determination with out them 🙂

it’s a “Bigfoot” type decal that would gone the Q maker Which is 1 good sign

The eagle looks like its had a bad resto attempt and the tri colour shouldnt be there at all ...its hand painted. The eagle if it is whats left of a genuine one is very gold looking I will try to show.

Hello John , thanks for posting your helmet. As you already noticed the helmet was post war used as a feuerschutz helmet and painted black , stripped and abused a bit. It has had a tough life after WW2 if that is even possible.

As a  WW2 collectible its condition is not as most collectors like it.
