Understandable. But I am not in the business of planning to do a lot of reselling or trading. And while the community has standards as to what pieces should be like to maintain resale value, shouldn't collecting also be about what YOU personally like?</blockquote>
As I said on multiple forums, this Helmet was originally painted Black and then viciously scrubbed back damaging both the original helmet patina and the precious SS decal.

To cut straight to the point, this helmet is “junk” and whilst it once was maybe a great helmet, it’s been molested, violated and scrubbed to death.

I also said to you that the wisest decision you will make is to pass on this helmet and save up for a decent original. The photo attached is an original one-look Quist M40 SS I recently purchased for $3500 . . . far better value!
