It’s an ET 64, lot No. 1244 (I think). Liner band is dated 1942 and has the letters ‘F.W’ at the bottom of the makers mark – so FW Muller? The liner leather itself is very fragile – still has what I think is the original cord. I didn’t buy it from a collector or a dealer (but I know that’s no guarantee of originality). I’d be interested in any thoughts on this especially the decal and the paint. The lighter green paint appears to be the later coat, over the darker green. This lighter green has also been applied to the inside (where it has suffered less wear) up to the liner band. There is a bit of overpaint from the lighter green paint on one of the chin strap bales. Grateful for any thoughts or info.
