Questions about FJ helmet
Hi,
Got this FJ helmet and have three questions:
1) is it original ? If no, then You can skip the next two questions 😅
2) camo ? It kind of looks like it has a bit like camouflaged appearance.
3) should I try to clean the interiors and if yes how ? With just a little bit moist (saddle soap) cloth or maybe proper cleaning and leather grease ?

Tough call on this one but I'm leaning towards it being a good one. I think it could well be a camo in the sense that it appears to have had whitewash at one time. As far as cleaning the liner, DO NOT use saddle soap, that is probably what gave it the white crud you see now. I'd carefully clean only with with a damp cloth or not at all.

Thank You. Actually the previous owner said he had used saddle soap to clean the liner which he should not have done. I had an option to choose from these two choices and I picked the one with better decal and liner. To me they both looked good, but then again I am not an expert on these.

You made the right call. The one you picked is probably worth twice what the other one is worth, not to mention much more appealing to look at. But it appears both are real.
