I have exactly the same opinion. From the photos provided it's not possible to determine it's a KM.
It's also no certainty you can research it.
I think you can find a nicer one for that money.

Slim Pickens out there for the Kriegsmarines right now mate. Trust me...I’ve been looking. Some very nice ... very expensive ones though in Europe. I’m waiting patiently until the right one “reveals” itself to me. I had to look that word up “Patience”. Ha. Good luck to you. Keep on the hunt.
