Weitze sadly has lousy experts , when you buy there do your homework.

This was just the reason why I posted this helmet here. I knew I could get better answers from here. I tried to find those KM m42 makers and hkp (hko?) was not listed. But now I know this is Heer m42.
I think it is ok looking helmet, but since the seller still believes he has a KM helmet the asking price is ridiculous.

Quote from schwerpunkt73 on March 13, 2021, 8:42 amSE is hkp just at a later stage. So if not listed in the table it is because they did not produce but maybe I should add a note on there. Yes if you are looking at Weitze best post it here first. It is often toned Heer are sold as KM helmets. Not just at Weitze.

Quote from SilverVeteran on March 13, 2021, 9:00 amThe current owner has bought this helmet from Weitze and got this false certificate along with the helmet. Naturally since he bought it as a KM and even got a certificate stating it is a KM, he now wants to sell it as a KM 🤦🏼♂️.
I gave him a challenge; if he finds another original hkp stamped m42 KM helmet (or a proof there was hkp stamped m42 KM helmets), I will buy this with the price he is asking, if he doesn`t then the price is what I offered 😃 He accepted the challenge.

Well good. Because you won’t have to buy it because he won’t find one 🙂

Quote from Paddyd00 on March 13, 2021, 10:50 amSilverVeteran- I may be posting for sale my M42 soon. “May” is the key word here. It may be traded for another one. But I don’t want to advertise here as it’s against the rules. I am on all the Major Forums and you can find me by the same Username there. Send me a private message on one of them. And even if I don’t have one. I can point you in the right direction and help you determine a good one in addition to your posts here.

The certificate means zero , zilch , squat. Every collector that is a bit aware of how things work in this hobby knows it. Best he can do is ask Weitze for a refund.
Did you inform the seller of the existence of this website ?

Did you inform the seller of the existence of this website ?Yes. If there was ever a point to any of theses COAs. It would be to obtain a refund from the original seller. In My Opinion .... Weitze will honor this with his Certificate. How could they not really. Not knowing helmets and playing dumb is one thing. But when confronted they will do the right thing 🙂 But its not your helmet so who cares really 🙂 (unless its a mate of yours)

Quote from SilverVeteran on March 13, 2021, 11:36 amGuys, now we are heading a bit side track here. I know these COAs are worth a lollipop and helmets should not be bought by trusting them.
Sadly current owner has bought it as a KM helmet and now wants to sell it as one. I wanted to confirm whether it actually is a KM in which case the asking price would have been reasonable. Since this helmet actually is a Heer (and pretty decent one with original paint (?)), it still is something I would like to buy IF the price is correct (much lower).
Now we have a good bet with the seller which I think I will win. Thanks to You guys 😃
